Ben was seven years old when he began racing go karts around the Central Florida area. In 1992 he won the "Most Improved Driver" title at the Fruitland Park Race Track. After winning three track championships at the Fruitland Park Race Track, Ben went on to win over 300 races all over the United States with the WKA Nationals and State races. At the age of 14, he was the youngest driver to win a Senior Stock Light Championship. In 1998 Ben bought a midget and began racing in the Florida Midget Racing Association (FMRA).

At age 15, Ben was the youngest driver ever to win "Rookie of the Year" in the history of Florida Midget Racing Association (FMRA).

In 2000, while running second in points, Ben stepped up into a Winged Sprint Car and competed in the Tampa Bay Area Racing Association (TBARA). In 2001 Ben finished second in TBARA Rookie of the Year standings and finished 13th out of 56 drivers.

In 2002 Ben was blessed with many oportunities. Sponsorship began coming his way along with time for countless hours of race preparation and travel. Racing is Ben Fritz's passion, which is why he will continue to improve as a driver and a leader in racing.
